SPAIN Oct. 24-Nov 4 2018 Day 1 &2 Wed-Thurs Every trip we somehow always starts with an adventure or a bit of a scare. Iceland was delayed flights, this time it happened to be a tight connection through Frankfurt. As usual we arrived to the Houston airport with plenty of time to catch our flight (1.5 before takeoff), and made it through terminal D security with not too much hassle. Changed seats on the plane to ensure we got an entire row to ourselves so that we could try and catch a few hours of sleep. Hours is probably a bad phrase to use, I would call them segments of multiple naps, but I digress. The flight left on time and landed on time but we had picked a flight with only 1 hour of layover, which on an international flight is a tad tight. And not because you have to walk through the airport all sleep deprived, it's because you have to clear customs and immigration, and not only that, for some reason they put you back through...
